Note: This is prayer I have kept next to my desk at work and refer to it every so often. It grasps the fact that faith is not an easy road. I hope you appreciate this, as much as I do.
Lord God, here I am!
You created me and know me completely.
You know all about my life- my joys and my sufferings,
my questions and my dreams.
I know you love me, even when I feel my sins
and mistakes make me unloveable.
Help me to love you, God, with all my heart,
mind, and soul, and to love all people,
even as I love myself.
Jesus, thank you for showing me how to live.
I know you want only the best for my life,
and I believe following you is the way to a
full and abundant life.
Holy Spirit, give me the courage and wisdom,
to be Jesus’ follower, even when it isn’t easy.
Fill me with the joy and peace that comes
from doing your will.
Amen.
